Hi all.
So as you can see, there will soon be no entrance from Dundas to our shop. However, we have a entrance off of Waterloo street to help avoid the construction
Please know we are still in business and will be able to continue giving high standard workmanship as always.
Thank you for your support.

With the first phase of Oxford Road 2 (Dundas Street) reconstruction in Woodstock nearing completion, the next phase is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of July 20. This phase includes road reconstruction on Oxford Road 2 from Oxford Road 9 (Ingersoll Road) to just west of Oxford Road 12 (Mill Street).

During this phase, there will be no access to Oxford Road 2 from Oxford Road 12. Local traffic will need to enter from the west using the Phase 2A detour or nearby side streets.

The main detour route will still be in place using Oxford Road 30, Oxford Road 17 and Oxford Road 59 (Vansittart Avenue). A secondary detour will be in place using Oxford Road 9, Main Street and Oxford Road 12.

Please help keep our community and workers safe: respect work zones, obey traffic signs, and maintain a safe distance from equipment and vehicles entering and leaving the site. Learn more at www.oxfordcounty.ca/construction

Hi Every-one.
I want you all to know that the construction work on Dundas Street in front of our shop has begun. We have some pylons being placed and workers preparing for the job.
We would like all of our customers to know that we now have a entrance from Waterloo Street.
We will be open our regular hours while the road reconstruction is in progress.
Thank-you.

I have posted this previously but think it is worth repeating.

Lane Departure Warning System and Lane Keep Assist
There is often confusion about the distinction between these two features. This is understandable because manufacturers are quite inconsistent in what name they use. A brief history will help.

Lane Departure Warning launched as a new feature years ago that involved a camera watching for lines on the road in front of your vehicle. If it detected you drifting without using a signal light, it would warn you by beeping, flashing, vibrating, or any combination of these.

Then, later on, this was evolved into Lane Keep Assist which uses the same camera and line tracking technology, except now in addition to warning you if you are drifting out of your lane, it will actually attempt to steer your vehicle back into the lane for you. This is also obviously also a key component in self driving vehicles or cars with hands free cruise control.

Where it can confuse people is that in recent years, many manufacturers have stopped referring to these as distinct features. Some no longer offer a warning-only edition and have taken to referring the full package of warning and steering assistance as simply “Lane Departure Warning System”.

CALIBRATION ?
Windshield calibration is mandatory after replacement to ensure safety features (like lane assist, emergency braking, adaptive cruise) work, using either static (targets in shop) or dynamic (driving test) methods.
The forward-facing camera, mounted near the rear view mirror, sees through the windshield.
Why it's needed:
Any change in glass height, angle, or position requires recalibration for features like Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control to function correctly.
Types of Calibration:
Static: Uses targets and a scanner in a controlled shop environment.
Dynamic: Requires specific driving conditions (e.g., clear lane markings, 37+ mph, straight roads, daylight) for the camera to learn the road.
