Went out with some buddies today, might be our last day trip for the season...hope not but heading to Grand Forks North Dakota to attend a car show at the local Chebby dealer, a wide array of wicked cars. Weather turned out nice for this time of year...which brings us to this...don't forget our new hours, Tuesday, Thursday 10am to 6pm and Saturdays 10am to 3pm. Other days after 6pm by appointment only. And we are once again offering winter storage...2 wheelers 60$ a month...contact us for details🤟

Coupla things here to talk about...

Firstly, as of Sept 21st, Prairie Iron is going down to part time hours. We will only be available the following days...Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. Bike drop off and pick up MAY be available after 6pm other days but on a case by case basis.

Secondly, we are still doing winter storage, 60$ a month for bikes and pricing according to size for trikes. Contact us for info on either thing we posted.

If you have an FXLRST and feel like doing something different where you can actually lay back and put some miles on, check out Mr. Barry's bike...we originally put on the 6" Thrashin Supply ® risers but that still wasn't enuff so we stepped it up with some 10" LA Choppers twin peaks bars (LA Choppers is our goto for bars🤟) finished up with some Magnum Shielding cables and hoses and some NAMZ Custom Cycle Products wiring extensions. Late in the season but hopefully this will help him put on some more miles more comfortably. Yes we also aware we suck at taking pics...but you get the point...

We are offering winter storage for 2 and 3 wheel machines, all makes and models. Been awhile since we posted, but we figured we needed to call attention to this new Soundstream stereo we installed on this FLHX...this thing does all kinds of things...probably launch the space shuttle too🤔😵‍💫 if you are interested in a new plug n play stereo for your bike, get at us. We've never been accused of being great communicators and it ain't gonna get any better, especially this time of year. We have piles of emails and messages to get back to so don't take it personally 🤷 Spring is always a gong show and it won't change...so we're requesting some change...in the future we'd appreciate if ppl could hold off on contacting us on days we are closed, or at the very least, please don't expect responses until we're back regular days of operation. You might be surprised...working 7 days a week isn't all its cracked up to be, but as Hawkeye said, neither is cracking up😵‍💫 so yeah...that'd be great.

Also this year, any service work will be booked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...leaving Friday and the other days for projects that require more time and attention.

Adding to that, other than the few safeties we already have on deck, we will be holding off on doing any safety inspections until we get some other jobs finished up. Feel free to check out any of the other local folks doing them.

Remember what we said about not being in control of suppliers and sub contractors? Still applies...nor do we control the weather🥶

Trying to get some balance going between personal and professional for this season. No fun being in a fun business when you can't have any fun, dig? 🤔

Forgot to mention these bad boys yesterday...we MAY have LIMITED access to some of these superfly wheels out of our US warehouse ( yes I know what I said but these are special...if ya want em, be serious and get ready to let your moth collection loose...precious metals aint cheap baby 😎) gold and silver, so far for softail only, will have to confirm if others are available.

So...looks like another season is starting up and I've decided that we're making a few changes...some of you won't like it, some won't care, and some will think I'm right...I've been at this almost 10 years and overall for more than 20 and I know a thing or three....

1) we will no longer be involved in anything paint/powder coat
related. In our desire to help both some local painters and help some customers save a buck or two, we have found ourselves in the position of having to explain things that aren't ours to explain and deal with things that aren't ours to deal with (trust me, I have enough to deal with on my/shop end). In the future this is how it will go...I'll give a few recommendations as to who to contact and you can take them there, unless other arrangements are made. We will do the remove & reinstall. I no longer want to be involved in colors, why its not done yet, why so much etc...

2) It seems that ppl don't understand how the motorcycle parts industry works here in Canada. We have a handful of warehouses in the country that we ALL source from. No such thing as NAPA for motorcycles in each city. Not much is made here so everything comes out of the US. This is why we all like dealing with Canadian warehouses because we can tell you what the exact pricing will be. To that end we are limiting our US purchases. Lots of ppl don't understand that we don't have any control over duties, tariffs, brokerage and shipping charges. For example, I recently priced a Road Glide inner and outer fairing and saddle bags. Shipping to the door in Canada was $600 US! Just pick it up at the border you say? Sure...but there's fuel/mileage and time/labor to pay for as well. Don't forget the percentage that credit card companies charge for the privilege of buying it. Cheaper yeah...until you go to checkout

I'm sure I'll think of something else to bitch about yet🤔😒😂
