This is Dennis (Marc) Dumas and he is the owner of Running Wolf Auto. He has setup the business with the knowledge of over 14 years in the auto industry.
Dennis started back in 2011 at a used car dealership his family friend had owned. He started part time doing odd jobs at the dealership from shovelling snow, washing cars and filling up vehicles. He worked his way to sales which lead to learning financing, and eventually managed the dealership.
In a normal progression he moved on to a bigger dealership but with a focus on selling to First Nations people. He saw the need for indigenous people to be treated fairly when buying their vehicles. He went from a top salesperson to eventually starting his own company within the dealership.
The company he started was at a big used car dealership and had up to 5 employees at one time. The focus was selling to First Nations people across Canada and he was successful doing hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales. To this day, customers call him from years ago to buy another vehicle or to refer their family and friends. He can literally not go after another new customer again and his business would still run off repeat and referral customers.
Next step in his progression was starting a brokerage. He saw a need for this since he could open up more lenders and vehicle options by working with many dealerships using their inventory and banks. The best thing you can do when shopping for a vehicle is to use a broker. He saw that and ran with it!
