👏🏼 Effective September 11, road tests services will be offered Sundays at the Bison Drive Service Centre and the Gateway Road Service Centre from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Customers can book their appointment online starting Wednesday August 31.

• As of July 1, school zone speeds are no longer enforced. HOWEVER! Families, kids and teens are still at the playgrounds, summer camps are happening, and other family-friendly events are making use of school grounds.

You may not need to slow to 30 km/hr- but be mindful of your surroundings and be cautious when approaching school zones during summer months.

And be mindful- some areas still have a 30km/hr zone year round!

When a lane on a highway is temporary closed due to construction and traffic is backed up, drivers may see road signs asking them to merge in a specific fashion known as the zipper merge (or late merge).

A zipper merge has drivers use both lanes until reaching a defined merge point.

To make traffic flow efficiently, drivers then take turns merging into the open lane in a zipper like fashion.

Remember, drivers who are changing lanes must signal, while drivers who are remaining in the through lane must let in one vehicle.
