We are at the River Park in Selkirk until 4pm today, Saturday.

If you see more vintage sports cars in and around Selkirk, MB this weekend it's because TODAY JUNE 11th is the start of the Red River Rendezvous. Over 100 vehicles have registered for this 3 day event. Our FREE Charity Car Show for registered cars is Saturday 1:30-4PM - support the 2 Selkirk cadet groups by voting for your Popular Choice and enjoy some vintage sports cars!

Day 2 of the Red River Rendezvous. Here's a pic of the "Scottie" Austin-Healey Sprite project car that's featured in our event logo. I caught it in a light drizzle before that changed and the roof quickly came on. Mother Nature is making us improvise our best laid plans 🌧️

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼
The initial concept for the logo was submitted by an AHCM member, then a BCCM member (a professional graphic designer) volunteered to take the concept and create the logo you now see.

The little red Sprite represents the main purpose of Rendezvous, which is to bring lovers of little vintage sports cars together. It also helps showcase the car generously donated to us by a regular Rendezvous participant from Minnesota. He donated this car to the 3 Manitoba clubs to help re-coup club funds lost with the cancelled 2020 and 2021 Rendezvous’ due to the covid pandemic.

The cat fish represents Selkirk Manitoba as the destination for the 2026 event.

The peace sign and Canadian and American flags symbolize the cooperation between car clubs from both sides of the border that have worked to make Rendezvous a success for going on 34 years.

VINTAGE SPORTS CAR RENDEZVOUS HISTORY
The Rendezvous was first held in 1991 in Thunder Bay, organized with the support of the Austin-Healey Club of Manitoba. Despite rainy weather, the inaugural event attracted 37 cars, and its success inspired the Minnesota Austin Healey club to host the event in 1992. This established the Rendezvous as an annual gathering. The Vintage Sports Car Rendezvous is a multi-marque, multi-location and multi-club event that now routinely includes over 100 vintage sports cars.

One week today on June 11th, the 34th Annual Vintage Sports Car Rendezvous begins in Selkirk, MB. Over 100 vintage sports cars have registered so far for this 3-day event including cars from Ontario, Saskatchewan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba. Our club is co-hosting this event. Nice to see Red River North Tourism promoting our club's co-hosting of this year's Annual Vintage Sports Car Rendezvous in Selkirk, MB.
Just to clarify on their post, only cars registered for the 3-day Red River Rendezvous can participate in the charity waterfront car show. The public is welcome to come and view the 100+ vintage sports cars FREE of charge on the Saturday afternoon.
