More runway sweeper adventures! Upcycled a piece of urethane to hand make a camera mount that fits into the lifting hook, allowing the driver to have a better view for attaching the plow.

Fashioned up a threaded aluminum backing plate to mount the monitor in the headliner.

This was also by far the biggest hood I’ve ever crawled under to run wires!

Cut out and reinstalled the factory leaky side window as some bonus work 🤪

Finished up this project today. The old sanding truck was retired and we transferred all the gear over to the shop truck...

Finished up this project today. The old sanding truck was retired and we transferred all the gear over to the shop truck.

Airbags and compressor, sanding controller with remote starting, wig wag lighting, traffic control bar, new roof beacon, and relocated the backup camera to check the sand level in the hopper.

Might not look like much, but lots of work went into keeping it clean and integrated. Ready for the first snowfall.
