Hey folks! 👋

Summer classes are now open for June through August at our Windsor and Tecumseh locations!

At First Route Driving School, students are taught by a current police officer and a former Windsor driving examiner — giving new drivers real-world experience from both sides of the road test process.

We don’t just teach the rules of the road. Students also learn about real-life traffic laws, criminal laws, defensive driving habits, and what examiners are actually looking for during road tests.

Our Windsor location has officially been approved.

First Route Driving School will be opening our Windsor location, with classes starting this June. We’re excited to finally get things running full-time in the city.

Also, a big thank you to everyone — our Tecumseh class starting next weekend is already completely sold out. Your support continues to be incredible.

If you want your child to learn more than just the basic rules of the road, and actually understand traffic laws, criminal offences, and what police look for on the road every day, this is the course for them.

We’re almost there 👊

The new First Route Driving School location at 2521 Dougall ave in Windsor is just about ready to go. Everything is set — we’re just waiting on final approval from MTO.

Can’t wait to open up in this part of Windsor near the DriveTest centre.

As a current police officer, our students don’t just learn the rules of the road — they also learn real traffic laws and relevant criminal laws that apply to driving.

As soon as we get the green light, classes will be starting right away. Hopefully very soon 🤞

🚧 IT’S OFFICIAL… WE’RE COMING ALONG! 🚧

One sign is officially up at our new location near the Drivetest Center for First Route Driving School. Hoping to get the front sinage up early next week

✅ Exterior signage almost installed
✅ Classroom space coming together
✅ New instructor hired

Meet our newest team member…
Jane — age 9. Strict. No nonsense. Already judging your parallel parking. I’m trying to get her trained up to teach some of my in class.

We’re excited about the progress and hoping to be fully open by the end of March.

We have had a couple parents ask if we could put together a Zoom Q&A session covering policing and Driver’s Ed topics, so I’m just checking to see if there’s some interest in the future.

We could talk about things like traffic stops, common charges, what officers look for on the road, new driver tips, and I could answer any Driver’s Ed questions you or your teen might have.

If this is something you’d be interested in attending, let us know privately or add a comment!

So I did a thing… 👀

I’m excited to share that First Route Driving School will soon be moving into a new permanent location — the old Delta building, right by the DriveTest Center!

This is a huge step forward and something I’ve been working toward for a long time. Being this close to the test center will make things even more convenient for our students and families, and it gives us a dedicated space to keep growing.

More details, photos, and class updates coming soon as we get everything set up. Of course the second pic is ai but a sign will be up soon.
