Here is a 2.5D sign I carved for Kokopelli Cabins owner Gwen Hunt. CNC carved out of high density urethane foam and painted with 3 coats of exterior latex and acrylics. HDU foam is better than wood because it doesn't take on water. I you want a wood look it can be carved to make it look like its wood.

Hello everyone,

Sorry I haven't been posting anything lately but I have been quite busy over the past year. I thought I would at least share one of the projects I worked on. I was commissioned to build this little gem and it turned out real nice. If I may say so myself.

The box is made out of walnut and maple. The pistol sits in a line tray that can be removed to access your ammo. The eschutcheon over the key hole is carved to resemble the end of a pistol barrel. This particular box is for a Beretta as indicated by the inlay.
