🇨🇦 A NATION IN MOURNING: HONORING OUR FALLEN HEROES 🇨🇦
In our line of work, we stand on the roads every day alongside the flashing lights.
We see firsthand the bravery, the selflessness, and the absolute dedication of the men and women, (others) who run toward danger so that others might live.
This week, Canada feels a heavy, collective pain. From the Atlantic coast to the Pacific, we have lost true heroes in the line of duty.
Today, the entire team at RWC Towing and Recovery stands in silent tribute to three incredible individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice
💔 From Prince Edward Island (Island EMS):
We mourn the tragic loss of paramedics Mike MacKenzie and Jenna Marie Croucher.
They spent their final moments doing what they did best—protecting and caring for a patient in need. Their absence leaves a massive void in the first responder family that will never truly be filled. It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of two Island EMS ...
“They answered the call when the world was at its worst, bringing light into our darkest hours. Their shift on earth is over, but their watch will live on in every life they touched.”
🤍 From British Columbia: We also honor B.C. helicopter pilot Nicholas Dale of Sooke.
An elite aerial firefighter, Nicholas lost his life while bravely battling a massive wildfire, taking to the skies to protect communities he would never meet.
“He flew above the smoke to be our shield, sacrificing his own tomorrow so that total strangers could have theirs. A hero of the skies, grounded but never forgotten.”
To the families, friends, and colleagues of Mike, Jenna, and Nicholas—our hearts ache with yours.
To our fellow first responders, firefighters/paramedics/ officers/ tow operators, MTO crash truck operators and emergency crews still out there on the front lines today & everyday: please stay safe.
We draw the line, we clear the roads, and today, we lower our flags in absolute respect.
Rest easy, heroes.. 🕊️🚒🚑🚁
