Lots of People Say, “Just Go Catless.”

Here’s what actually happens:

•Post-cat O2 sensor immediately reads zero catalyst efficiency → P0420 code → CEL on.
•Removing the cat drops turbine back-pressure → your wastegate loses authority → boost overshoots → your OTS tune is no longer calibrated for your setup.
•O2 sensors run hotter and work harder without the thermal buffer of the cat → accelerated wear.
•Without a custom tune that disables O2 monitoring, you’re fighting the car every time you drive it.
•Fails OBD emissions inspection in most states.
