We know you've been waiting for this one👀

If you guessed the culprit to be a Push Rod from a Sierra 1500 5.3L, then you are correct!

Push rods help control the opening and closing of the engine's valves - essentially helping the engine breathe properly. When one isn't doing its job, the engine can't run as it should, leading to poor performance, running rough, and some very misleading symptoms.

This is a great reminder that what a vehicle feels like it's doing doesn't always point directly to the real problem. Proper diagnosis makes all the difference!

We hope the little (and not so little anymore) ones had a good first day back to school🎒 With classes back in session means busier roads, active school zones, and more young pedestrians on the move!

As we settle back into our routines, we must remember to:
🚌 Stop for school buses when their red lights are flashing
🚸 Slow down and stay alert in school zones
👀 Watch carefully for children crossing between parked vehicles
🚲 Give cyclists plenty of space
📵 Keep your attention on the road

It's also a great time to make sure your vehicle is ready for the busy fall routine. Ensuring your brakes, lights, and wipers are working properly can make all the difference when you need them most.

Today’s interesting find came in with a bit of an identity crisis…

The driver described:
• Rough running — but not quite like a typical misfire
• What felt like a hard transmission shift
• A serious lack of power and acceleration from a full stop

We found the culprit and it has definitely seen better days😬
