After the popularity of the bench i made, I decided to make a singular chair from some of the leftovers that I have in my shop.
I had to make a small structural frame, just for strength, as most of the tools are cast iron, and that doesn't hold well structurally.
The tools and farm pieces are from all over central and southern Saskatchewan, and date back as far as 100 years old. This is technically a new piece made of antiques, I guess lol.
The bench is 16" across, 16" deep, and 32" high overall. It was rusted after and coated to preserve. The seat was made of old elevator wood and treated. It's a heavy chair due to the parts and is well over 40 lbs.
This turned out great, feel, and gave me no issues to build it. Again, all I did prior was sketch the base dimensions to start.
Please reach out if you want to know more about this project or one for yourself using your own tools!!
