“I remember when you guys were just getting started.”

And honestly? It was great to remember how far we have come since we first started in 2017.

From our early days as a Victoria startup building boat security systems.

To now: reshaping vessel monitoring for recreational, commercial and defence applications in 40+ countries across the globe.

On Vancouver Island, First Nations are helping shape the future of ocean technology.

We’ve seen that firsthand through our work with First Nations communities, including Snuneymuxw, T’Sou-ke, Tsawout, Sc’ianew, Tsartlip and Malahat Nations.

Together with Cando and the Canadian Coast Guard, we’ve supported hands-on training and deployment of BRNKL Rapid Deploy to help First Nations communities monitor and manage Wrecked, Abandoned and Hazardous Vessels in their traditional waters.

This is only one example of what can happen when technology, Indigenous knowledge and environmental stewardship come together.
