Extending the bed to be the right length make and spot weld in the brace like the original so it ties in with the lower panels and strengthening piece. Then a test fit of the box sides and tailgate.

Got the tiger front clip set up welded on and the hood gapped over the last few days.

Got the front clip back from the sandblaster and found a few issues to sort out. I moved through them all one by one before making the strengthening piece for the lower valance. It’s now ready to be grafted on to the body.

It was rocker and door gap time. I made a new rocker panel for the right side of the tiger, removed the old panel and welded in the new one gapping the rocker to door gap before tacking and welding it in place. I then moved onto the doors. I measured the gaps on both doors and tuned them up to be approximately 4mm all way round.

Busy week on the tiger. Got the rear end sorted and tore into the front before rough fitting the new front clip.

Another tiger in the shop this week so it was time to tear into the lower trunk panel and test fit the panel after cleaning it up and gapping the trunk lid

Working on an MGC this week very clean car with just a few patches and a bit of rust repair on the front fender and reskinning a door, then line everything up ready for body and paint.
