If one tire looks like it’s been through a war while the others are chilling, your rotation schedule’s out of whack. Uneven wear happens when tires are left in the same spot too long. And once the damage is done, there’s no rotating your way out of it.

They’ve been sitting in the garage for years, still wrapped in plastic, barely used. So they’re good to go… right? Not exactly. Rubber breaks down over time, even if the tread looks fresh. Tires over 6 years old start losing grip, and by 10? They’re basically couch cushions.

Check the last four digits of the DOT code on the sidewall, that tells you the week and year they were made. If you're not sure, we’ll check them for you and let you know if they’re still safe to ride.

Yup, tires expire, even if they’ve got tread left. The rubber breaks down over time, especially if they’ve been sitting in a garage or basement for years. Most tires start to degrade after 6 years, and by 10? They're straight-up done.

So how do you know how old your tires are? 🔍 Check the DOT code stamped on the sidewall, it ends with a four-digit number showing the week and year your tire was manufactured. For example, "4219" means the tire was made in the 42nd week of 2019.

Tires are one of the most overlooked parts of your car when it comes to cleaning, but they deserve better!

Over time, brake dust, dirt, salt, and grime build up on your tires and rims, slowly wearing them down. That buildup doesn’t just look bad, it can actually shorten the life of your tires and corrode your rims too 😬

A quick rinse with water and a gentle tire-safe cleaner goes a long way. And please, no harsh degreasers. They can dry out the rubber and cause cracking. A clean tire not only performs better but looks great too.
