The annual Helen P**n Spring Thaw Shakedown Drive is happening TOMORROW — Sunday, April 26, 2026.

We’ll be meeting at Caulfield Safeway parking lot at 8:30 AM, with a planned departure at 9:30 AM. The extra time is intentional so everyone can hang out and socialize before we hit the road.

This is a great chance to shake down your car, test your repairs (and duct tape skills), and make sure everything’s ready ahead of the main Spring Thaw.

The destination is TBA, depending on the group’s vibe, likely a quick run out to Britannia, with an optional longer POON-drive for anyone who wants to keep going.

Engine out service on a Ferrari 308GTS. Extreme care is needed to carefully remove the engine on the 308, clearance is very tight, and trade secrets make all the difference to not cause expensive damage resulting from a rushed extraction. It takes all hands on deck and just the right Backstreet Boys song playing in the background.
