Hi 👋 Everyone!
I wanted to share some bittersweet news with you all. After 12 wonderful years, Your Neighbourhood Automotive Repair shop is unfortunately forced to close its doors at the Pandora & Penticton location on October 31st. Our landlord, has been relentlessly raising the rent to the point where it’s impossible to keep going. That says everything about where his priorities are: greed first, community last.
It’s incredibly frustrating to see someone so heartless push out a small, community-rooted business that actually cares about the people here.
This decision has been incredibly difficult, as that little shop is where it all began and holds so many memories for me. I’ve truly loved being part of this neighbourhood and building strong connections with so many of you over the years.
But luckily, this isn’t goodbye! We’ve already been transitioning into our new shop just a few blocks away at 1881 E. Hastings, on the corner of Hastings & Victoria (right beside Pelican Seafood Restaurant). So while I’m sad to let go of our original little corner, we’ll still be nearby and ready to keep serving the neighbourhood.
That Pandora & Penticton shop will always mean the world to me — it’s where it all started, where friendships and community connections grew 🥲
I’ll miss those everyday moments the most: neighbours popping in to say hi, people waving as they passed by, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than just a business.
On the positive side, I’m beyond grateful for all the love and support over the years, whether it was at the shop or through things like the classic car show we put on a few years ago that brought folks together to celebrate the neighbourhood.
