Discover the CHIRON Super Sport ‘L’Aura’ and ‘Coup de Foudre’ – a BUGATTI love tale at first sight.

Such was the husband’s love for his wife’s hand-painted masterpiece, ‘L’Aura’, that it sparked a request for a similar effect on his own CHIRON Super Sport. In Molsheim, the BUGATTI Customer Service workshop spent seven months transforming his car to reflect the desired design.

In ‘Coup de Foudre’, a fitting name was found for the creation. Holding a dual meaning of a ‘bolt of lightning’ and ‘love at first sight’, ‘Coup de Foudre’ refers to both the blue lines painted on black carbon and the owner’s instant affection for his wife’s car.

The Chiron Super Sport 300 + achieved the unthinkable in September 2019 - a top speed of 304.773 mph (490.484 km/h). With the Chiron, Bugatti presented an entirely new hyper sports car in 2016. The 8.0-liter W16 engine delivers 1,500 PS of power and torque of 1,600 newton meters. At 1,176 kW/1,600 PS, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ surpasses the Chiron by 100 PS, making it the most powerful Bugatti ever constructed. Visually, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ differs from the Chiron first and foremost due to its extended and aerodynamically optimized bodywork, which is designed for extreme speeds past the 420 km/h mark. Bugatti will make 30 Super Sport 300+ edition produced in jet black carbon fiber bearing two orange racing stripes that extend from front to back, and it won’t be the last Super Sport in the long and prestigious history of Bugatti.

The Bugatti Veyron didn't just break the rules, it re-wrote them upon its 2005 introduction. The Veyron ushered in the new century and catapulted itself into a new dimension of technological excellence - carbon monocoque, all-wheel drive, mid-mounted 8.0-liter W16 engine, and four turbochargers. The first true hyper sports car in the world delivers 1,000 PS and has a top speed of over 400 km/h at 407 km/h. In 2010, Bugatti brought out an enhanced version of the Veyron with the Super Sport. The powerful drive now produces an astonishing 1,200 PS, and the governed top speed is 415 km/h. In the same year, Veyron 16.4 Super Sport set a new speed record for road vehicles: with a top speed of 431.072 km/h, it became the fastest series-production super sports car in the world. Only 450 Veyron 16.4. vehicles, including 48 as the Super Sport, were built by hand at the headquarters in Molsheim from 2005-2015.

The Bugatti EB110 was a technological tour de force - lightweight carbon monocoque weighing just 125 kg, mid-mounted 3.5-litre V12 engine, four-turbochargers, five-valves per-cylinder, and a maximum engine speed of 8,250 rpm. Capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 3.26 seconds and topping-out at 351 km/h, it was the fastest series-production car of its time. In 1995, Bugatti introduced the EB110 Super Sport with 610 PS. Only 39 were made.

The Bugatti Type 55 is the only Super Sport of the Ettore Bugatti era. Its supercharged 2.3-liter straight-eight engine saw it achieve record top speeds. The first Type 55 Super Sport was made 90 years ago for the 1931 Paris Motor Show. There was praise from the customers and media alike in particular for the Type 55’s top speed, acceleration, and good roadholding. Only 38 Type 55s were constructed. Its rarity makes it all the more popular as a collector’s piece.
