Oil changes are easy to remember. But what about all the other fluids under the hood?

Coolant. Brake fluid. Transmission fluid. Differential fluid. Power steering fluid. They donโ€™t all follow the same maintenance schedule, and some newer vehicles donโ€™t even use certain fluids.

One important distinction: checking, topping up, changing and flushing a fluid are not the same thing.

And if a fluid that normally shouldnโ€™t disappear keeps getting low, simply topping it up may be masking a leak or another issue.

Synthetic oil: around 8,000 km or more
