This is the first ever Classic Car Catastrophe. And this time, we’re aiming straight at Victoria Falls the day the road finally reopens.

It’s a classic car run with a twist. A little mud. A little bad judgment. A lot of good cars doing things they were built to do.

Check your oil. Check your tire pressure. Don’t bother washing your classic. Come for the drive. Stay for the mess.

We’ll end it at the falls with a pot luck BBQ. Hot dogs, burgers, whatever you throw in the trunk. Eat, laugh, and compare how dirty everything got.

Beat the Winer Blahs! Meet us Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Kenny U—Pull in Barrie Ontario for one of the greatest driving experiences on the last day of January in 2026.

Will take the worst possible route from Barrie to Niagara Falls with a group of like-minded auto enthusiasts.

You’ll face challenging winter roads. Incredible scenery. Garbage winter cars and you’ll get a chance to duke it out at K1 go kart in St Catharine’s.

Some heroes shape your career long before you ever meet them.

For me, that is Jim Kenzie. Reading his Wheels column in the Toronto Star on Saturday mornings left a lasting mark. His coverage of the Targa Newfoundland tarmac rally lit the spark that turned a love of cars into a pull toward motorsports.

When I joined Hagerty as Manager of Private Client Services, running Targa Newfoundland was one of the first ideas I brought forward. In 2018, I finally got to take part. What started as a bucket list item has grown into years of helping promote and organize the event. Along the way, I also had the unexpected privilege of becoming friends with Jim, the same writer who inspired it all.

Today, at Zehr Insurance, that journey continues. I get to support motorsports in a hands-on way by providing track day coverage, supporting race teams, and insuring the cars that make it all happen.

It’s a reminder that passions have long arcs, and sometimes you end up working alongside the people who started you on the path in the first place. Thank you, Jim!
