It's time for your weekly automotive news recap 👇

🇺🇸 Tesla has unveiled an all-new version of the Tesla Roadster, which now targets a release date of 2028. The Roadster will be available as a regular EV with a suction fan for downforce, a "Thrust" version which adds SpaceX-supplied thrusters for a 0-60 mph time of about 0.8 seconds, and a "Rocket" version that is able to jump and perform aerobatics.

Availability of these features will depend on local regulations, but the photos you are seeing are real - a prototype really jumped over the Tesla lineup at yesterday's launch event.

🇺🇸 The 2027 Ford Bronco gets new options and trims, with the biggest change being the addition of a detuned version of the Raptor's 3.0L twin turbo V6 to the regular Bronco lineup.

🇬🇧 Jaguar has unveiled the production version of the dramatic Type 01, which will spearhead Jaguar's rebirth. Besides striking looks, this sedan also packs 1,015 horsepower and 1,007 lb-ft of torque!

🇩🇪 Sloped-back SUVs have arrived for BMW's electric vehicle lineup! The all-new iX4 is to the iX3 what the X4 is to the X3... kinda self-explanatory, right?

🇺🇸 Both the Chevrolet Trax and the Chevy Trailblazer see upgrades for the 2027 model year with revised styling, bigger screens, and different trims available early next year.

🇬🇧 Want to take your MINI to the trails? The MINI Countryman added the new "Untamed" trim which brings along a lift, new wheels and all-terrain tires, and an optionally available rooftop tent!

🇩🇪 After unveiling the all-electric i3 earlier this year, BMW has now announced the all-new BMW 3 Series that features a variety of combustion engines and slightly different proportions than its electric counterpart.

🇬🇧 Hot on the heels of announcing the first-ever Range Rover EV, the British luxury brand has now unveiled its second electric vehicle in the form of the 2028 Range Rover Sport Electric!

🇬🇧 If the DBX707 was a little too hardcore for you, you will love the new Aston Martin DBX GT. While it has just as much power as the 707, the GT comes with a more laid-back attitude and a softer suspension.

🇯🇵 Need to take the family off-road? Toyota's Grand Highlander has added the Woodland trim, which comes with a slight lift, all-terrain tires, and some other interior goodies that'll come in handy when camping.

Meet the Nissan Z Kaze concept. This T-Top concept car pays homage to the tuner cars of the '90s, and while we don't expect to ever see the current Nissan Z as a T-Top, we can marvel at this STUNNING concept car!

8.3L diesel V8! Yes, you've read that right. The new 2027 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy-duty trucks come standard with GM's new 6.6L gas V8, but also offer a brand-new 8.3L DURAMAX diesel that produces 1,230 lb-ft of torque and tows up to 38,000 lbs!

Bentley is entering the EV market with the all-new Torcal. This boldly-styled EV comes with a dual motor setup and up to 876 horsepower... and all the luxury amenities you could ever wish for.

Three wildly different vehicles... which one would you take if you could choose one? 🤔

Here is what you might have missed this week in the automotive space 👇

🇮🇹 The Ferrari 296 GT Modificata is a track-only racer freed from the limits of GT3 class restrictions. That means the Modificata has more power, better brakes, better aero... and a passenger seat!

🇺🇸 Ford's F-150 sees a minor refresh for 2027 which brings new grille designs to some of the trims alongside a new Carhartt model. The 2.7L Turbo V6 was replaced by a new 3.0L Turbo V6 and hands-free BlueCruise can now be used while towing.

🇸🇪 New hybrid systems find their way into the 2028 Volvo XC60 and XC90, massively boosting their electric-only range. The XC90 now goes up to 117 km on a single charge, while the XC60 reaches 126 km. Those are very impressive numbers for PHEVs!

🇩🇪 Mercedes-AMG has announced the CLE 646 "Spezialanfertigung". Limited to just 30 units, this CLE features a 637-horsepower V8, weight savings, aggressive aero and real-wheel drive.

🇸🇪 Volvo's XC40 has been updated for the 2028 model year with new styling out front and back and a larger touchscreen running new infotainment software.

🇸🇪 Polestar released the first images of the "Formula 2030" concept which will be fully unveiled soon, and previews the design of the next generation Polestar 2!

Just in time for the long weekend, here is weekly automotive news recap 👇

🇬🇧 Jenson International, a UK-based auto maker that originally made the "Interceptor" grand touring car in the 50s and 60s, has announced the all-new Jenson Interceptor GTX!

The GTX is powered by a GM V8, not street legal, and Jenson has not announced any plans to sell future road-going versions in Canada, but the GTX is so cool we wanted to show it to you anyway!

🇸🇪 Polestar launched the Polestar 4 SUV! This new variant of its performance car with comes with greater versatility and capability, while staying true to the design, technology and driving experience that define the Polestar 4.

🇯🇵 The 2027 Lexus NX features comprehensive updates over the current model with revised styling, new interior design, and new hybrid options.

🇬🇧 Range Rover has entered the electric vehicle market with the all new Range Rover Electric. The design mirrors that of the combustion-engine Range Rovers, with the EV arriving for the 2027 model year.

🇨🇦 Thomas and James from Throttle House visited us during the 2024 AutoShow and starting today you can watch the new season of Amazon's The Grand Tour, with the duo hosting the new episodes alongside Francis Bourgeois - the perfect show to binge this weekend!

It's Friday which means it is time for your weekly automotive recap!

Chevy has announced changes to their "High Country" trim. Starting with the 2027 Chevrolet Traverse, High Country is becoming more modern, athletic and contemporary in an evolution across the exterior and interior of the vehicle.

There is a redesigned High Country badge, a darker mix of shades alongside refined exterior accents, all combined with upscale materials and luxury touches.
