The latest Auditor General report found serious gaps in driver training.
When schools cut corners on the mandatory 103.5 hours, they aren't just breaking rules, they’re putting everyone at risk.

If you’re looking for a school:
✅ Prioritize safety over speed.
✅ Prioritize skills over "cheap" tuition.
✅ Ensure you get every minute of your 50 behind-the-wheel hours.

The road is a big responsibility. Make sure you’re actually ready for it.

CVSA International Roadcheck 2026 takes place May 12–14 across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

This year’s inspection focus is on:
• ELD tampering and Hours of Service compliance
• Cargo securement

During roadside inspections, officers will be checking commercial vehicles, ELD records, and properly secured cargo.

Serious violations may result in immediate out-of-service orders.

Take the time to inspect your truck, review your ELD, and make sure your cargo is secured properly before hitting the road.

Stay compliant. Stay professional. Stay safe.

New driver licensing rules in Ontario (Effective May 11, 2026)

The MTO is strengthening requirements to reduce fraud and align with national standards.

If you’re applying for a G or M licence, or upgrading to a commercial licence (A, B, C, D, E, F), you will now need to:

• Prove Ontario residency
• Prove legal presence in Canada

If you are upgrading to a commercial licence, you must also:
• Prove you are legally allowed to work in Canada
(including temporary residents such as student visa or work permit holders)

Documents will be required; this is now mandatory for all applicants.

Air Pressure Build-Up Test | Pass Your AZ Test & Drive Safely

Don’t go to your road test without knowing this, it’s also critical for real driving safety.

This is the air pressure build-up test, a required step in your pre-trip inspection for your AZ license in Ontario.

Make sure the spring brakes are applied,
then reduce the air pressure below 80 PSI.

Start timing at 85 PSI.

The pressure must reach 100 PSI
within 2 minutes
at idle speed (600–900 RPM).

This is not just for passing your road test, it’s essential for safe operation in the trucking industry.
