As the days grow cooler and the West Coast settles into a slower rhythm, our Longhouse-style Cabins offer a warm and comfortable place to call home between autumn adventures.

Crafted from cedar and inspired by traditional Longhouse structures, each cabin features natural cedar furniture, large windows, radiant heat, a coffee machine, and your own outdoor picnic table and fire ring.

And with pet-friendly cabin options available, your four-legged travel companion can come along for the fall getaway too. 🐾

From October 1 through April 30, Tsawaak offers long-term, month-to-month stays for those who want to settle into the West Coast at a slower pace.

Spend the quieter months surrounded by misty forests, stormy skies, uncrowded beaches, and all the little routines that start to make a place feel like home. Whether you’re working remotely, spending the winter in your van or RV, or simply looking for a change of scenery, our long-term options give you a comfortable home base in n̓ačiqs (Tofino).

Monthly options include:

🚐 RV Sites — $1,100/month
Includes hydro, water, sewer, Wi-Fi, and access to washroom and laundry facilities.

🌲 Mini Cabins — $875/month
Includes hydro, water, Wi-Fi, linen service, and access to washroom and laundry facilities.

Travel Notice for Tsawaak Guests

A heads-up for guests travelling to or from Tofino on Wednesday, September 23.

Mainroad has advised that BC Highway 4 will be fully closed from Chalet Road to the Alberni Summit from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. while crews complete paving, barrier maintenance, and hazard tree removal. During the closure, only emergency services will have access under emergency circumstances.

If you’re arriving at Tsawaak or heading home that day, please plan your travel times accordingly and allow plenty of time to make your way through before or after the closure.

We also encourage guests to check DriveBC before heading out for the latest road conditions and updates.

A notice for our Tsawaak guests 🌲

This coming Monday, September 14, the Tsawaak Visitor Centre will be closing early at 5:30 p.m. so our team can come together for a staff event.

We’re looking forward to spending some time together as a team, and we appreciate our guests and visitors for their understanding while we close up early for the evening.

Please plan any visits to the Visitor Centre accordingly, and we’ll be back to our regular hours the following day.

Settle into your tent beneath the trees, shuffle the deck, and let your competitive side come out. Whether you’re keeping score or insisting it’s “just for fun,” these are the simple camping moments that often make the best memories.

Our unserviced Tent Sites offer a cozy home base for your next West Coast stay, with options for tents, small RVs, converted vans, and pet-friendly camping.

Show your support for mułaa, Rising Tide Surf Society, with a stop at the Tsawaak Gift Shop.

Shop a selection of mułaa T-shirts, sweatshirts, prints, microfibre towels, stickers, and more while learning about the meaningful work behind the name.

mułaa translates to “Rising Tide” in the ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ language. This Indigenous and community-led initiative brings together nuučaan̓uł youth and mentors, using surfing and connection to the ocean to foster resilience, empowerment, connection, and cultural revival.

Through their programs, mułaa supports nuučaan̓uł youth on their personal journeys while strengthening their inherent connection to their lands and waters and helping change the narrative around surfing in nuučaan̓uł territory.

A little extra comfort goes a long way when you’re camping. 🌲

Our Amenities Building is here to make your stay at Tsawaak easy and comfortable, whether you’re settling in for a weekend or staying a little longer.

Freshen up in our čiišuł, šuʔuł (washrooms) and hat̓inquwił (showers), take care of a load of laundry in our c̓uʔuwił (laundry) facilities, or grab a quick snack from the vending machines before heading back to your site.

When evening settles in, an illuminated pathway helps you make your way to and from the building after dark.

It’s everything you need to enjoy the comforts of home while spending your days surrounded by the West Coast. 🌿

Fogust has a way of transforming the familiar.

As the sun begins to set, mist settles over the beaches of n̓ačiqs (Tofino), catching the evening light and giving the coastline a soft, almost dreamlike glow.

Take the long way back to camp. Walk the sand, listen to the waves, and enjoy one of those moody West Coast evenings we wouldn’t trade for anything.
