Retro Rides–Tatamagouche Car Show Postponed Until 2027 ❤️🚗

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that the Retro Rides–Tatamagouche Car Show, originally planned for September 5th at Nelson’s Park, will unfortunately be postponed until next year.

As many of you know, my family’s home was devastated by a house fire on August 1st. We lost our home and essentially all of our belongings and contents. Unfortunately, this also included the donations, supplies, and money that had been set aside and collected to help make this year’s Retro Rides Car Show happen.

This is not an easy decision for me to make. I was truly looking forward to bringing everyone together for another great day filled with beautiful vehicles, great people, family, friends, and memories. I want to make sure that when we do the show, we can give it the time, attention, and resources it deserves.

For now, my priority has to be getting my kids settled into another home and trying to put our lives back together over the next few months. ❤️

But this is NOT goodbye to Retro Rides!

My hope is that once we get through this difficult time, I can start working toward making next year’s Retro Rides–Tatamagouche Car Show bigger and better than ever, right back at Nelson’s Park.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this postponement may cause. I know many of you were looking forward to September 5th, and believe me, I was too.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Retro Rides, donated, volunteered, shared our posts, believed in what we were trying to build.

Right now, life has thrown us a curveball that I never expected. But we will get through it, one day at a time.

We’ll see you at Nelson’s Park in 2027 for an even bigger and better Retro Rides–Tatamagouche Car Show! 🚗🇨🇦❤️

📣 Retro Rides–Tatamagouche Car Show Update! 🚗🎉

We wanted to share an important update with everyone.

After speaking with several other car show organizers in the area, we've decided to reduce the participant registration fee from $15 to $10 per vehicle. Our goal is to keep the event affordable while continuing to build a fun, family-friendly car show for our community.

We also want to be transparent about where the money goes. All proceeds from the show are used solely to cover the costs of hosting the event. This includes insurance for our new venue, as well as expenses such as food, water, event supplies, and portable toilets, which are required by the Municipality of Colchester.

Most importantly, we'd like to recognize the incredible volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Countless volunteer hours go into planning, organizing, setting up, coordinating, and making sure every detail is in place so this event can happen. Their dedication and hard work are what make Retro Rides–Tatamagouche possible, and we truly couldn't do it without them.

Thank you to everyone who supports the show by registering a vehicle, attending as a spectator, volunteering your time, or helping spread the word. Your support means the world to us, and we're excited to welcome everyone to Nelson's Memorial Park on Saturday, September 5, 2026, for a day filled with beautiful vehicles, great music, BBQ, door prizes, and community spirit.
