What a great turn out for Hot August Nights. With the support of the community, help and donations from local businesses and people Jake Campbell along with his family and volunteers were able to raise 20g+ for the MAKE A WISH foundation. What a great job and we hope he continues to do the same thing next year.

There were a few attempts by people to cause trouble but the police were there quick and took action. Great to see they were able to control the crowd and the cars.

All in all a great success .

Sad news today that Hot August Nights was cancelled. I (Andrew) don’t get is how can a show that was designated for a location, closed street with security/ police presence be cancelled for the actions of others outside the show area. This show was to raise money for charity, raise money for childern and young adults to get one last wish. How can CBRM choose to ignore that and be unreasonable in choosing dates and times that make it impossible to raise money? Not the first time CBRM made wrong choices……
Now the next comment is directed to the immature young adults and adults that feel like they have the right to act like complete idiots and drive dangerously, aggressively, and unsafe. Yes, we all like a burnout, quick shot from a dig but thanks to your actions you caused a great car show, fundraiser, night out for the responsible ones disappear. Shame on you l!

What a windy day! Everyone is safe but this trailer went for a ride this afternoon. I myself would be changing my underwear!
