t’s been one hell of a week.
This week we’ve spent a lot of time correcting mistakes from previous work—swirls, scratches, paint issues, and even gel coat crazing.
It would be easy to point fingers and say, “They don’t know what they’re doing.”
But I don’t look at it that way.
I’ve worked in dealerships around Sydney, and I’ve seen firsthand how different dealership detailing can be from the way we approach detailing at 125 Details.
The reality is, dealerships are built around quantity and efficiency. They have vehicles coming in constantly, deadlines to meet, and a limited amount of time to spend on each vehicle.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the person doing the work doesn’t care or doesn’t know what they’re doing. Sometimes they simply aren’t given the time to do it differently.
At 125 Details, our approach is different.
A brand-new vehicle can take us anywhere from 8 to 25 hours, depending on what it needs.
We take the time to inspect the paint, find imperfections, safely correct them, properly prepare the surface, and make sure the vehicle is actually finished—not just ready to leave the lot.
That’s the difference.
It’s not always about having better products or better machines. Sometimes the biggest difference is simply having the time to do the job properly.
And that’s what we’re trying to build at 125 Details.
Not the fastest.
Not the cheapest.
Just work we can stand behind.
