To all that have had their vehicles impounded or you were the driver of a vehicle that was impounded over the last few weeks and for all future impounded vehicles.
1. The vehicle was impounded because a law was broken and the RCMP or Highway Traffic Enforcement or other Law Enforcement Agency called us to tow the vehicle under the SGI Impoundment Program. We are only the tow company that is holding your vehicle.
2. As the Owner of an impounded vehicle it is your responsibility to contact our office for any information regarding your vehicle, if the driver is not the owner of the vehicle we cannot give any information without you calling us first.
3. If you are not the owner you are not allowed access without the owners permission. No exceptions!
4. You need to provide photo identification or 2 pieces of identification when at our office to access or pick up your impounded vehicle.
5. We charge a yard access fee to anyone that needs access to their vehicle while impounded.
6. We will not tolerate any type of verbal or physical abuse to any of our staff at anytime at all. The Police will be called and you will be charged!!
7. We do not set the release dates for impounded vehicles, all rates and dates are regulated by SGI Impound Department
8. Our office and compound are open Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Closed all weekends and holidays. No exceptions, if outside these designated hours you will not have a cess to your vehicle or be given any detailed information.
9. We only accept Cash or Etransfer for impound fees, no exceptions.
10. For any questions about the impound program, release dates or general inquiries please contact the SGI Impound Department directly, their phone number is on the back of the police paperwork that was given to the driver of the vehicle at the time of impound.
