Congratulations Campbell Stewart !

DRIVER OF THE WEEK: The Bingley's Auto Body Auto Body Driver of the Week Award for Saturday, June 6th, 2026, deservedly goes to Fitzpatrick Consulting Street Stock rookie Campbell Stewart!

It may be back-to-back events with the award going to a Street Stock competitor from Oyster Bed Bridge, but this young talent made it difficult to choose otherwise.

The reigning Mini Stock champion went from a tough Street Stock debut at the May Long Weekend Season Opener — a solid fourth in his heat race, an early semi race exit due to a mechanical failure, and missing the feature entirely — to almost pulling off a stunning triple on Fan Appreciation Night this past Saturday!

Standard weekly lineup procedures put Stewart — at the bottom of the standings — on pole for all three races, and he had zero problem running away from a plethora of veterans and former champions during his 12-lap heat and semi races.

As for the 25-lap feature, Stewart held up strong, leading more laps on his own and being challenged by defending champion Matthew Ford following a pair of early restarts. Stewart managed to clear back ahead with 12 laps remaining, but ultimately fell victim to a hard-charging Colton Ford not long after. Still, Stewart settled for a statement runner-up finish.

For a driver who entered the season focused on gaining seat time and experience in a former championship-winning hotrod, Campbell went out and performed with shades of his father, Tyler Gauthier, the way that car roared around the high banks on Saturday — a sight to behold.

It only makes us more excited for what’s to come next! Congratulations, Campbell, and expect a prize presentation this Saturday, June 13th!

Congratulations Kenny Snow! More than deserving of the very first Bingley's Auto Body OBS Driver of the Week!

DRIVER OF THE WEEK: The inaugural Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week Award goes to Oyster Bed Bridge’s Kenny Snow (SnowStorm Racing) in our Fitzpatrick Consulting Street Stock division!

After spending a long while "semi-retired" (dabbling in Pro Stocks, playing substitute for others, etc.), "The Snow Storm" returned behind the wheel of his own Street Stock — the former Tom C. Nicholls hotrod — for the first time in years during our 2026 Season Opener on Sunday, May 17th.

Heading into the event, the hometown veteran and former champion had two wishes (seriousness up for interpretation): to stay caught up with the field and for a short-distance feature. One turned out to be an understatement, and the other — well, the extra laps didn't seem to slow him down.

Snow benefited from favourable random draws for his heat and semi races, starting and finishing first in both. The biggest highlight there was him — the New Glasgow Fire Department's newest fire chief — besting two of his crew in an exciting, spirited 12-lap semi showdown.

In the extended, caution-free 40-lap feature, Snow charged through a deep 10-car field from eighth, climbing to third by the halfway mark after outmuscling a strong group of fellow veteran competitors, and maintained that position to the finish.

When we say this award embodies what racing at Oyster Bed Speedway is all about, Kenny Snow’s Opening Day story fits that definition perfectly, setting the standard for what it will take for others to earn it as the season continues.

Congratulations, Kenny! As we await his return in a few weeks to present him the award, we look forward to seeing his son, Brandon, take his turn in the #7 Street Stock for the first time this year this Saturday on Fan Appreciation Night!

NEWS: We’re excited to announce the launch of the all-new Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week Award for the 2026 season at Oyster Bed Speedway!

This award will be presented after each event to a racer whose impact on and off the race track deserves extra recognition.

Whether it’s a career-best performance, racing with respect, helping fellow competitors, overcoming adversity, or a first-time victory lane appearance, this award will spotlight individuals who embody what racing at Oyster Bed Speedway is all about.

Each winner will receive a prize and recognition on social media, and during the following event they compete at.

A huge thank-you goes out to Chris Bingley and Bingley’s Auto Body for stepping up to support this new accolade and our racers! The locally owned and operated business has specialized in top-quality auto body services at fair prices for over 50 years and is located at 33 Barkley Ave in Stratford, P.E.I., open Monday to Friday.

What an incredible gift we received today from the Charlottetown Islanders. A game worn and team signed Nikita Voiaga jersey. As most of you know, Bingley's Auto Body is in a corporate partnership with the team. While in a meeting today to discuss sponsorship for the upcoming season, Taylor presented me with a gift from the team as a thank you. Incredible. I can't thank you enough! As season ticket holders of the P.E.I. Rocket and the Charlottetown Islanders since day 1, we are so pleased to be able to support our local junior hockey team.

Due to the extreme heat conditions, on Thursday, July 17th, we will be opening at 4:00am and closing at 1:00pm. It was dangerously hot today and in body work, the temperatures and humidity can really mess things up. Its hard to paint when it is this humid and hot, body fill/fiber glass hardens almost immediately and when you're welding, things can catch fire quicker. Also, with the added heat of welding on top of the heat from the warning, it can be over 40 degrees.

So due to safety concerns of our staff, we will be open during the morning to try and beat the heat but closing just after lunch time. We will be back to normal hours on Friday.
