$150 to the lap purse - Laps 11, 55, and 84

$150 to the Pole Winner - the driver who earns the best passing points score during the 12-lap qualifying heat races will start on pole (first place in starting order) for the Piston Cup 100 and receive the $150 Bingley's Auto Body Pole Award!

The Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week is given to an Oyster Bed Speedway driver that either overcomes adversity, is a competitive clean driver who shows great sportsmanship and a driver that is known to help other drivers in the pits. Any driver that shows those one or multiple of those traits is a contender to win this weekly award. We created this award to help promote clean driving and sportsmanship among the drivers in each division. They get their picture taken in victory lane and is given a $150 gas card on behalf of Bingley's Auto Body.

Congratulations Randy MacTavish

DRIVER OF THE WEEK: The Oyster Bed Speedway Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week for Saturday, July 25th, 2026, is Chris’s Bobcat Services Mini Stock veteran Randy MacTavish!

A familiar face in our Mini Stock division since 2010, MacTavish is a fierce yet respectful competitor on the racetrack who has earned the admiration of his fellow racers as someone they can always count on for advice, encouragement, and a helping hand ─ especially those new to the Mini Stock division. It's hard to find him without a smile on his face on race day... or arguably any day!

This past Saturday, the Cornwall driver of the popular and colourful No. 76 returned to feature victory lane for the first time in more than a year. After a third-place finish in his 10-lap heat race, MacTavish started the 30-lap feature in eighth, climbed to fourth before a halfway caution, and even had a fun battle with daughter Chloe along the way.

One lap into the restart, he capitalized on contact between the top two, powering around both cars on the outside to take the lead for good. From there, he withstood relentless pressure over the closing laps to capture his first feature win of the season ─ his first since June 2025.

Congratulations to Randy on his victory and on earning this week’s Driver of the Week honours! Thank you for your positive attitude, sportsmanship, and all you do to make our racing community stronger!

Congratulations Jordan LeClair

DRIVER OF THE WEEK: The Oyster Bed Speedway Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week for Saturday, July 4th, 2026, is your reigning Moore Well Drilling Outlaw champion and feature winner, Jordan LeClair!

The Tignish driver scaled back to a part-time schedule for the 2026 season, sharing the No. 47 with brother Jessie. After Jessie got behind the wheel on June 6th, Jordan returned to the driver’s seat for the Fifth Annual RE/MAX Rumble on June 20th. The next thing he knew, he was upside down on the frontstretch during pre-race practice.

You would’ve thought the car was toast for the season – wrong. In just two weeks, it was repaired, given a fresh Pixar Cars-inspired look for his kids, and "Cruz'd" to a pair of podium finishes on July 4th, highlighted by Jordan's first feature win since the 2024 season finale on October 6th, 2024.

LeClair began the 20-lap under-the-lights feature fifth in the 13-car field and worked his way to second before a late-race restart. Over the final seven laps, he held off two challengers – both looking to complete the triple – to secure the victory in the "Cruz Ramirez" Outlaw.

From upside down to victory lane just 14 days later, what a comeback story, and one well deserving of the latest Driver of the Week honours. Congratulations, Jordan!

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but the shop will be opening at 4:00am and closing at 12 noon on Thursday, July 2nd and Friday, July 3rd due to the heat warning in place. The humidex is expected to be around 36 degrees and that is just too hot for our employees. We cannot paint with it that humid and applying body fill or anything is near impossible as it hardens almost instantly in that kind of heat.

Congratulations Bristol!

DRIVER OF THE WEEK: Ruh-roh! The Oyster Bed Speedway Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week for Saturday, June 20th, 2026, is Reliable Motors Outlaw Bandolero points leader Bristol Matthews!

The young talent behind the wheel of the “Mini Mystery Machine” from Nine Mile River, Nova Scotia, continued her ongoing Outlaw Bandolero dominance this past Saturday, scoring not just her third straight feature win, but also her first career trifecta at Oyster Bed Speedway.

Matthews has been up on the wheel over every one of the division’s four rounds thus far, having started from around the rear of the field in every race, whether due to random draws or a points handicap, and put on a show charging through the pack.

Each of her three victories thus far has come at the hands of a late-race restart, with the first two seeing her barely come out on top in photo finishes. This time around, the lap-one big one and a lengthy lead being relinquished due to a late-race caution were added hurdles to her efforts. Still, the pressure didn’t get to her, and she yet again held off a deep field for the win.

It was a great day overall for the Matthews crew, with father Dave also collecting a trophy, courtesy of a runner-up finish in the rain-shortened Fifth Annual RE/MAX Rumble.
