The tragic loss of two fishermen this afternoon (21st July), reverberates not just across the Cape John Peninsula, but our District of Baie Verte - Green Bay, and across all of NL. It opens fresh wounds for those of us that have experienced loss at sea, and it is also a sad reminder that our fishing industry is a dangerous profession. Thinking of all the families now as they deal with the repercussions of a regular fishing day, where one of their own did not come home. Now is a time to grieve and support the families, so let’s fully embrace Harbour Round. For those in peril on the sea.

Stacey grew up in Lower Argyle, Nova Scotia. He worked as a fisherman for 36 years, where he fished lobster, herring, snow crab and groundfish. Having built and sold five boats of his own, Stacey’s career path at TriNav Marine Brokerage was a natural fit. His experience in the fishery as well as boatbuilding and sales gives Stacey an in-depth knowledge of the industry that he brings to the table when serving customers across Atlantic Canada and the eastern seaboard of the United States.
