This is ours, in the bay, getting looked after so it's ready when Highway 11 gets busy. Because summer means more cars on the road and more of them a long way from home when something lets go and that call is exactly the one we take all season.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 and a car full of groceries, headed for the cottage.

The spring was going to take us a bit. So while the car was up on the hoist, she got a lift to her place, groceries and all and picked the car up later, fixed properly.

That's not a policy. It's just what you do for a neighbour who's stuck. Sixty-some years up here, and the job's never really only been about the car.

𝗜𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺.
Cold, it ran perfect. Ten minutes down Highway 11 and it showed us its true colours!

Those are the fun ones. The problem that won't show itself while it's sitting on the hoist. So we drove it, watched the data, and let it misbehave on our terms instead of yours. Turned out to be one sensor doing a bad job of reporting the truth.

Half the job is just being patient enough to catch it. Three generations in, that part hasn't changed.

If it's slow to cool, blowing warm, or smells a little off when it kicks on, that's the system telling you something now, in June, while it's a cheap fix. A small refrigerant leak or a tired compressor caught this month is a fraction of what it costs when you're sitting in July heat with a baby in the back seat.

It also does more than keep you comfortable. Your AC pulls humidity out of the cabin, which keeps the windows clear and you sharp on a long drive.

Before you load up and point the car in any direction, give yourself five minutes in the driveway. Tire pressure (including the spare), washer fluid, a quick look under the front end for anything dripping. Most of what strands people up here is something that was quietly building for weeks.

If something feels off, a pull, a noise, a light — we'd rather catch it here than have you catch it on the shoulder of Highway 11.
