𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲. 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽.

No-starts. Dead batteries. Cars that ran fine all summer and won't turn over on the first frosty morning. Most of the time nothing's actually broken. The cold just found the weak spot before you did.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆'𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Clarence started Griffith Bros in 1960. His son Kerry took it from there and ran this place through the years that made its name, back when the trucks were different and the work was just as honest. A lot of how Andrew and Matthew do things today came straight from him.

So from all of us, and from a whole lot of Almaguin drivers he's looked after over the years: happy birthday, Kerry. Thanks for the shop, and for the standard.

The docks are still in and there's one more long weekend to go, but you can feel it starting to turn. It's been a busy one up here, and a lot of you trusted us with your cars, your tow calls, and the odd cottage-run breakdown along the way. We don't take that lightly.
