Carters Make A Wish Trailer |

A few Summers ago we had the incredible privilege to work with Make A Wish Canada to bless a very deserving family with a beautifully renovated RV. Carter Harris, a local legend in our small town has spent many years in and out of hospitals and after years of waiting, he was finally granted his wish. An RV, so his family could spend more time together on adventures but also have all the necessities needed to keep up with his medial needs. Unfortunately when they picked up the RV it had a number of hidden issues including very extensive water damage that made it an unsafe environment for anyone let alone an immune compromised family. Eric and I knew from the moment we opened it up that this was a project we had to help them with so that they could enjoy it properly. So we set out to deconstruct and rebuild the entire trailer. I reached out to a number of different local businesses to see if they would like to donate to the project and an overwhelming amount of donations began to pour in. Everything from building materials, flooring, countertops, benches, games, lego, awning, outdoor furniture, hand made artwork and volunteers to work on the project began to accumulate. We were able to raise over $14,000 worth of materials & accessories to bless this family. The trailer layout was changed to accommodate more play room, a new dinette was added, new floors, entire new roof and membrane, new counters, faucets, tiling, lego lined bunk bed, wall paper, accent walls, new linens, custom curtains... you name it. We took Carters request of navy blue and built an RV fit for a little boy ready to explore. We even gave the front window a custom graphic so anyone passing by would know that this was “Carter’s RV”. Make a Wish Canada was incredible to work with and the end reactions and smiles were worth every minute of work that was put towards this project.
