Sunshine, big waves, reading, hammocks, chess, art, quiet moments in the most beautiful place!
Good company, and food!
We truly enjoyed the rhythm of this small island.

Pandora was an amazing guest to have aboard, we soaked up the warmth of the sunshine and each other's company. We laughed and ate, napped and read books, we explored and forest bathed, enjoying the culture of this lovely island community!

We would love to have Pandora aboard again, Anytime!!!

When I first moved onto a sailboat, I had no idea how much it would change the way I looked at life.

Living on the water strips things down to the essentials. You become aware of every gallon of water, every amp of power, every shift in the wind. There’s no endless closet space, no extra room for things you don’t really need. At first that felt like giving something up. Over time, I realized it was actually giving something back. More clarity. More quiet. More space to think about what matters.

Some mornings I wake up and step outside into the cockpit with a cup of coffee, and the entire world feels still. The water is flat. The air smells like salt. Blue Herons glide past without making a sound. In moments like that, it hits me that this little floating home has taken me farther than any traditional path ever could.

I didn’t choose this life because it was easy. Boats break. Weather changes plans. Sometimes you’re fixing things you didn’t even know existed yesterday. But the trade-off is a kind of freedom that’s hard to explain unless you’ve felt it yourself.

The longer I live this way, the more I believe that the best lives are often the ones that look a little unconventional from the outside. A small home. Fewer possessions. More sunsets. More wind. More time spent close to the natural world.

And honestly, I wouldn’t trade this life on the water for anything....

Maintenance!!
Cleaning, learning, changing, upgrading, replacing, draining, filling, hoping and running!

What a full weekend of giving "Mimy" some much needed love! Like a full spa treatment for her engine!!

Feeling great and running amazing ❤️

Now to spend the rest of the evening documenting writing down on my part numbers and creating a maintenance schedule.

Feeling pretty accomplished!!

Engine maintenance!
It's been a large learning curve for me. Learning specifically what my particular boat needs is different than just learning general information every piece seems to be completely specific and has some obscure part number that nobody seems to know I'm no records were left for me so it's been a lot of discovery I'm excited to integrate this knowledge because it allows me to be independent and safe out at sea I'm learning what to look for and what to do about it I'm also learning ideal scenarios but I'm also learning emergency scenarios and sometimes those things can be quite different...
I'm also laying that the people who sell parts often don't know anything about parts that they're selling.. LoL
I sure am grateful for all of those that I spoke with that do know what they're talking about and how much I've learned this weekend has been phenomenal.
Follow your dreams folks and don't let anybody tell you no!

Weekend sailing trip.
With a friend that came out from Edmonton to sail for the first time.
It was a beautiful windy day the first day and we got lots of sailing time.
Excellent food! Excellent company, excellent provincial park and a summer solstice celebration!
So many firsts for my guest, It was really beautiful to witness the discovery.
I love taking women out sailing and having them leave feeling empowered and full of awe and wonder!
I'm looking forward to doing some more all women sailing trips.
