Musty A/C smell? Here’s what you can check yourself.

✅ Start with the cabin air filter.
If it’s dirty, it can hold odor, dust, and moisture.

✅ Notice when the smell appears.
Strongest at startup? That may point to moisture in the system.

✅ Check the passenger-side carpet.
Damp carpet can be a sign of a drain or moisture issue.

✅ After using A/C, run the fan without A/C for a few minutes.
This can help dry out leftover moisture.

✅ Skip the vent perfume as a “fix.”
It only masks the smell.
