Two weeks in Utah's red rock country — April 2026
Finally dug through the photos from our April Utah trip, so here's the story.
Two weeks, a teardrop trailer, and basically the whole southern Utah greatest-hits list. Arches — Skyline Arch and the red rock fins never get old — then the painted badlands of the Bentonite Hills, which honestly look like another planet. We waded up the Narrows at Zion with canyon walls going straight up on both sides, and stopped at Goulding's by Monument Valley for the full Old West photo op.
Nights were the best part. Campfire, full moon, red rock walls all around, and the teardrop's little kitchen all lit up. Hard to beat that.
And the Fords got their moment too. The Ranger Raptor ate up every dirt trail we pointed it at, and we ran the Bronco at the Bronco Off-Roadeo. Red rocks, dirt, and trucks doing what trucks do. Some vehicles just belong in Utah.
If southern Utah isn't on your list, put it on there. Who's been? What's your must-stop down there?
