Wednesday time!
You are NOT required to report a collision to the police if…
a) It was a hit-and-run
b) There is more than $1,000 damage
c) A vehicle must be towed from the scene
d) Someone is injured
e) None of the above

Answer:
This was a trickier one! The correct answer is b). While at one point you were required to contact the police if damages exceeded $1,000, this is no longer the case. Instead, you are required to report the crash to police if the vehicle has been damaged enough that it must be towed from the scene. It doesn't necessarily take much to accumulate $1,000 in damages, and it can be difficult to tell how much damage has actually been done. If the vehicle can be safely driven away from the scene, then there is no reason to call the police (unless any of the other reasons (i.e. injury) apply). The Saskatchewan Driver's Handbook has more information on what to do if you're in a collision: https://www.sgi.sk.ca/individuals/licensing/studyguides/drivershandbook/advancedskills/inacollision.html
