There is currently somebody online posting ads impersonating at least two dealerships with fake e-mail addresses. These addresses look legitimate and are being used to coerce unwitting buyers into sending e-transfers as a deposit for cars that don't exist. These ads are promptly removed after finding a victim.

Please be careful when shopping online and always visit a dealer's website for correct contact info and inventory.

If you have been a victim of this scam please call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center to report any information you can. You can find their contact information online instead of trusting a phone number that I'll give you.

The fraudsters information that I can safely say to be wary of is [email protected] and (866) 414-1522. He is also impersonating CK Auto Sales in Tilbury.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL SHOPPING ONLINE. Never send money to somebody over the internet without first confirming the product you're purchasing.
