Updated speed limits are being introduced on 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 to help make travel safer for everyone. The changes reflect how these roads are used and the communities they pass through.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗵𝘆:

📍 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 (𝗖𝗥 𝟯) - 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗴𝗼𝘄 (Municipality of West Elgin)
Speed reduced to 60 km/h through the settlement area to better reflect the community setting and the number of driveways along this section of road.

📍 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 (𝗖𝗥 𝟳𝟯) - 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 (Township of Malahide)
The existing 50km reduced speed zone is being extended south to include new residential development, providing a more consistent speed through the community and improving safety for residents and motorists.

📍 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 (𝗖𝗥 𝟴𝟯) - 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗻 (The Municipality of Dutton Dunwich)
The 50 km/h zone is being extended to align with the full village limits, helping drivers reduce speed sooner as they enter the populated area and creating a more consistent speed zone through the community.

🛑 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
Lower and more consistent speeds help reduce the risk and severity of collisions and support safer travel for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

New speed limit signage will be 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, and the OPP will be notified once the changes are in place. Thank you for helping keep our roads and communities safe.
