Every child deserves to walk into class on day one feeling ready, confident, and excited. But with the high cost of living lately, buying a full haul of school supplies is a real strain for many parents.

Our friends at Welland CARSTAR and Fonthill CARSTAR are putting together a drive to help families at Plymouth Public School. As Subaru of Niagara, we will support this cause and hope our community can join us to lend a hand.

If you're able to grab a few extra items next time you're out, here's what's needed most:
🎒 Backpacks
✏️ 📔 Pencils, erasers & notebooks
📁 Folders
🖍️ Crayons, markers & other school supplies

Just drop them off at a Welland CARSTAR location anytime before August 21st.

Let’s be honest—getting children ready for school is tough, and for a lot of families, the cost of basic supplies is a huge stress right now.

We’re trying to lighten the load for children heading to Plymouth Public School this fall, but we could really use a hand from our community.

If you’re out shopping or just want to help, here are the items needed:

🎒 Backpacks

✏️Pencils & notebooks

📁Folders

🖍️ Crayons & markers

🏫 And other basic classroom supplies

Our friends from CARSTAR in Welland and Fonthill have a drop-off box set up at the Welland CARSTAR location. If you’re able to bring anything by before August 21st, it would mean the world to these families. Subaru of Niagara will support the local families and we're hoping our community can join us and donate some school supplies.

🅿️ A quick parking and access update for our customers! 🅿️

For the next three days, the shared laneway between Subaru of Niagara and the A&W / Pizza Pizza building is being completely repaired and repaved. 🚧

⛔ This area has been in rough shape for some time, so we are very happy to see the work being completed. During construction, the laneway will be fully blocked and there will be no customer parking available on that side of our building.

✅ Please use our main entrance when visiting us. We have opened up additional parking and will have team members outside and on the lot to help direct traffic and assist wherever needed.

✅ If you pull in and feel even slightly overwhelmed by the vehicle volume, please simply pull up in front of our main doors and we will gladly assist with parking your vehicle.

Thank you for your patience and for working through this with us. The work is expected to be fully completed by end of day Friday, and the result will be well worth the short-term inconvenience!

Now this is what we call true Subaru family spirit! 🚗💙

We had a family visiting from Montreal hit a nasty set of train tracks near The Falls, which completely bent the factory hitch on their Outback. Understandably, they were pretty stressed about making it back home safely.

When they pulled into our service department, Gary (our Service Manager) and Matt (one of our awesome mechanics) stepped in to assess the situation. Realizing it wasn't safe to hit the road, they got to work, straightened out the hitch, and got everything safe and road-ready. ✅

With a smile, Gary sent them back on the road with an, "All good, glad we could help!" Thank you Michel for your kind words, come back and see us when you're in Niagara again! 🙂

Saving road trips and keeping families safe is why we show up every day. Huge shoutout to Gary and Matt for proving once again that people come first around here! 🙌
