What a great day spent on the 'riverbank' learning a new skill!

This video captures David Hunter and Harley Chaffey helping some young anglers learn the basics of casting a salmon rod here at Pirate's Haven. As part of the event hosted by Intervale Associates in partnership with Pirate's Haven and the Bay St. George Area Development Association, the kids also had the chance to learn how to tie flies and hear firsthand from local fishermen with years of experience on the water.

A big thank you to Eric Bennett, Ed McInnis, Walter Young, David Hunter, Harley Chaffey, and Payten Sheppard for taking the time to share their knowledge and passion for salmon fishing with the next generation. Your willingness to give back and teach these young anglers is something truly special.

We're also grateful to the Foundation for Conservation of Atlantic Salmon for sponsoring this event and helping make opportunities like this possible.

Join us on Saturday, July 25th at Pirate's Haven in Robinsons, NL for an afternoon of great food, live music, and local vendors.

🍽️ Spitfire pork dinner starts at 3:00 PM (served on a first come, first served basis)

We'll have RV sites and campsites available if you'd like to stay for the weekend.

THIS COMING SATURDAY!

Join us for the Feather and Folk ATV Day Excursion on Saturday, June 20th. The tour leaves from Pirates Haven RV Park at 11:00AM, and will return before supper.

If you Appreciate raw beauty, pristine landscapes and the company of other ATVers, join us for a fun day of adventure. The tour will include a mug-up trail lunch, as well as a lobster or porkchop supper upon return from the excursion.
