Yesterday marked the final day of the 2025–2026 fishing season for Southern and Central Saskatchewan, including Lake Diefenbaker.

The 2026–2027 fishing season officially opens May 5, 2026 for the Southern Zone of Lake Diefenbaker and we can’t wait to welcome you back out on the water!

Angling licences for the 2026–2027 season are now available:
• Through your HAL account
• At any Saskatchewan angling licence issuer
• At a Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment field office or select provincial park offices
• By phone: 1-855-848-4773 (8 a.m. – 9 p.m.)

This 2007 Freightliner with a Rosenbauer apparatus is not only an upgrade to our fleet, it’s another step forward in expanding our department’s capabilities.
