Flooded Tesla Model S. No READY mode. High-voltage isolation fault.
This car went through waist-deep water, and afterward the high-voltage system refused to wake up.
That is not the same as a dead 12V battery.
That is not automatically a failed HV battery pack.
And it is definitely not something you guess on.
A high-voltage isolation fault means the vehicle detected voltage going somewhere it should not be. When that happens, the car protects itself by locking the system out.
Using Tesla Toolbox 3 and proper high-voltage diagnostic procedure, we followed the fault path instead of throwing parts at the car.
The diagnostic direction pointed toward the front high-voltage circuit, including the forward junction box / PTC heater area. From there, the goal was simple:
isolate the suspect circuit, prove the fault, and restore the system safely.
Flooded EV diagnosis is not DIY.
The software gives you information.
The test result gives you direction.
But understanding what is safe to touch — and what can kill you — is the real skill.
Modern EV repair is not guessing batteries.
It is knowing how the system protects itself, why it shuts down, and how to prove the failure safely.
We Test. Not Guess.
