This is one of those stories that reminds me why I love small business so much. ❤️
A few weeks ago, we received such a lovely message from a gentleman named Alex, owner of Alex Pizza in Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan.
Alex reached out simply because he wanted to introduce himself and tell us that he had been following our page and felt inspired by our family business, our values, and the things we share.
He didn’t want anything from us. There was no ask and no expectation. He simply wanted to come meet us, encourage us, and bring some pizzas for our team.
And this past Monday , he did just that.
Our staff was treated to some absolutely amazing pizza — and I have to say, the Detroit pizza was exceptional! 🍕
But as wonderful as the pizza was, what touched us most was the gesture behind it.
This is what I love about small business.
We are all out here trying to build something. Trying to take care of our families, our employees and our communities. And there is something pretty special when, instead of just focusing on our own little corner of the world, we notice one another. We encourage one another. We cheer each other on.
There is room for all of us to succeed. And I think small businesses are stronger when we remember that we really are in this together.
Alex, your kindness meant more to us than you probably realize. From one family business to another, thank you for taking the time to reach out, for encouraging us, and for simply wanting to do something kind.
We wish you and Alex Pizza nothing but success. We’ll be cheering you on. ❤️🍕
