Terry and Shirley Thompson have owned A & B Autobody since 1995 but Terry has worked there since 1982 for the founders of A & B Autobody. Adam Schwartz and Bob Allardyce who formed A & B Autobody in 1964. Over the years, we have out grown our existing building and are always trying to expand to better serve our customers and the Regina and surrounding areas. Our existing facility is modern, bright

, and clean, having undergone a renovation in 2011. Our expansion will fill up the previously empty corner on Winnipeg Street and Saskatchewan Drive. A & B Autobody is the place to be when looking for professional, quality repairs for your vehicle. Our auto body specialists are journeyman with the experience to provide full collision repairs on all makes and models. We utilize the Car O Liner computerized frame system to provide accurate frame specifications before and after the frame repair. We also preform glass installation and chip repairs and SGI Body Integrity inspections.

We receive a lot of inquiries about rust repair, so we wanted to clarify our approach.

A&B Autobody specializes in collision repair. Proper rust repair requires removing and replacing the affected metal entirely, not simply covering it up with patch panels or filler. Because rust often extends further than what's visible on the surface, repairs can become very extensive once the damaged area is opened up.

For that reason, we focus our expertise on collision repairs and returning vehicles to manufacturer standards safely and correctly.

Repair timelines vary significantly depending on the type and severity of damage.

Some hail claims can be completed using Paintless Dent Repair, which is often a quicker process. Other vehicles may require panel replacement, additional body work, paint refinishing, and parts ordering, which can increase repair times. For non hail claims, we can usually provide an initial timeline, however hidden damage is sometimes discovered during repairs and may affect completion dates.

Many customers are asking whether their vehicle will be considered a write off after the recent storms.
The reality is that it's impossible to know just by looking at a vehicle. SGI must first determine the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the vehicle and compare that against the estimated repair costs. Until a claim is processed and an estimate is completed, any answer would simply be speculation.

Our team will provide accurate information as soon as the proper assessments have been completed.

Repair scheduling takes place after your estimate has been completed and repair hours have been calculated. Once we know the scope of the damage, we can determine the best repair plan and coordinate scheduling with our Paintless Dent Repair specialists if applicable.

Before an estimate can be scheduled, we first need to download your SGI claim. Once that's completed, your vehicle will be placed into our estimate queue and our team will contact you when it's time to bring your vehicle in.
