Nearly 2,000 calls a year to the Saskatchewan Advocate for Children and Youth report urgent issues, including mental health struggles, safety concerns, and families unable to meet basic needs, which puts many children’s well-being at risk. These findings highlight the very issues our Child and Youth Program works to address.

Over the past three months, the program recorded 1,723 visits from children and youth and provided 12,600 nutritious snacks and meals to support their healthy development. A survey of 88% of regular attendees showed that over 95% feel safe and a sense of belonging, while nearly 98% enjoy attending. We are deeply grateful to our community for helping us create a safe, supportive, and nurturing space for them.
