Crushed the mantario trail one last time with my two best hiking buddies in the whole world. Chelsey Orchard and Colby Orchard. A broken tree limb that went through their tent and put a hole in it and broke both the tent poles just as a storm was moving in left us literally fighting for our lives. Then we had to go to bed in the rain and get up in the rain and Hike all day in the rain the next day. Nearly killed me but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

We always have the latest models and higher end cars. Check out our new 2021 Chevy Malibu. We also have the highest ratings and are Portage's longest standing and most reputable Driving School. We are the experts, not a part time hobby school. If you want to pass on the first try you need to book with us.

This should be no surprise but I have information that the police are starting a major blitz on speed enforcement in school zones for a while. Remember maximum 30 KPH in school zones in Portage and that law is in effect 24/7, not just during school hours.

Did you know that now, drivers travelling on the same side of the road as emergency vehicles that are stopped with their beacons flashing are required to slow down and proceed with caution. This includes tow trucks!! Drivers travelling on a multi-lane highway must also pass the emergency vehicle only when safe to do so and, where possible, move to a lane further from emergency vehicles.

Effective Sept. 12, drivers on either side of an undivided highway who pass emergency vehicles that are stopped with their beacons flashing will be required to slow down to the following maximum speeds:

40 km/hr on highways with posted maximum speed limits below 80 km/hr, and
60 km/hr on highways with posted maximum speed limits of 80 km/hr or greater.
Drivers not following these safety measures may be subject to a fine of $299.65.
