The second day brought a whole lot of action. ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ

We were โ€œflyingโ€ down the Alberni Inlet, making our way toward Barkley Sound in search of better weather and brighter light. With the boats moving through the inlet and the West Coast scenery providing the backdrop, our photographer Dolf Vermeulen captured some incredible footage along the way. ๐ŸŽฅ

Six experienced West Coast pilots took the helm, carefully handling the boats while demonstrating their capabilities on the water. The latest Mercury V6 & V8 outboards added serious performance to those runs, delivering the highest acceleration and torque in their respective classes through higher displacement and lower-RPM performance.

Rigged & Ready for the West Coast ๐ŸŽฃ

At Alberni Power & Marine, weโ€™ve completed the rigging on this 2027 Thunder Jet 22 Alexis Pro, setting it up with the equipment and upgrades that make a difference once itโ€™s out on the water.

The custom-built aft helm station gives the operator another control position when working from the cockpit, while adding storage and cupholders where theyโ€™re easy to reach.

A new 2027 dash design brings the Lowrance HDS-12 chartplotter into the main helm, with the Airmar P66 transducer, Lowrance RS40 VHF and Lowrance 20 radar keeping key fishing, navigation and communication information close at hand.

With Mercury 250XL DTS + 15 HP ProKicker, it has a full-size main power plus a dedicated trolling setup, with kicker controls at the helm for convenient operation.

The finished setup also includes Sharkhide Protectant on the hull sides (New APM Feature) and upgraded fish seats with Shockwave suspension bases, adding protection and improved comfort for long days on the water.
