For the Speed enforcement cameras be clear on a few points. They are issued to registered owner. City with MTO approval sets speed enforcement parameter. History shows it will tend to start at 5-8 km over. Fine is $5 per km over until 20 km over then $7.50. This is set by MTO not city. There are no demerit points or insurance increases based solely on the infraction. Seeing lots of misinformation about this. Hoping our friends kawarthaNOW.com who are always striving for accuracy can help.

is requesting that seasonal residents of Peterborough County refrain from coming to their properties until hydro has been restored to all areas. With the current strain on our hydro, year-round residents are still finding it difficult to obtain food, water and fuel and the added influx of those wishing to check their summer properties will only add to that strain. Hydro One has been working non-stop to expedite the return of power, but still has a substantial amount of work to complete. If travel to Peterborough County can not be avoided, check the Hydro One Power Outage map prior to attending, and ensure that you have sufficient supplies to cover your stay. We appreciate your patience and consideration.

Nice way to start 2025. Thank you to the Whibbs family for sending this.

Hello Kevin,

Just wanted to say thank you for all the instructional help. The twins learned a lot from you and really enjoyed the lessons. You are an excellent teacher and made their experience fun and rewarding. They both have their G2 test booked and will update on their success after the tests are completed.

The 24-year-old driver of this vehicle was quick to advise that they, along with their passengers were late for work, which somehow justifies driving 133 km per hour in an 80 km zone. If only their commitment to leaving on time or to road user safety was as strong as their commitment to work, we would all be a lot better off. A future court date, a 14-day vehicle impound, and a 30-day licence suspension is what the driver received and I'm pretty sure they were late for work after all. and let everyone get to their destination .

🔙 Why should you back into parking spots? 🔙

December is a busy month in parking lots and backing in is one of the safest things you can do to reduce your risk of a crash!

🚗 It provides a greater field of vision to see vehicles or pedestrians when you exit

🚗 You’ll also have less of your vehicle exposed to traffic than if you were to reverse out of your parking stall when exiting

Remember, when reversing, don’t rely solely on your backup camera if you have one and utilize your mirrors while also shoulder checking.
