Irving is estimated to have driven over 100,000 miles per year visiting car shows, with the longest stretch in one trip being New York to Vancouver, Canada. He has detailed the maintenance of his vehicle, saying that he changed the oil every 3,000 - 3,500 miles and changed the transmission fluid every 25,000 miles.

Regular car maintenance can be easy to forget. However, regular oil changes are important in ensuring the smooth operation of your vehicle. The oil in your engine lubricates the moving parts to reduce friction in the engine. When the oil is fresh, it lubricates at peak efficiency, and that reduces the daily wear and tear of running your engine. As the oil gets older, it gets dirty. As it gathers dirt and metal filings, its ability to lubricate decreases, and your engine starts to wear out faster. The longer you wait to get your oil changed, the more wear there is on your engine, which can increase the risk of an accident. Don’t wait too long past your mechanics recommended kilometers to get your oil changed.
