This is why you don't use liquid gasket maker unless recommended my the manufacturer. Most gaskets are meant to be installed on their own, with no additional sealant. Applying liquid sealant on top can lead to leaks, as we found on this automatic transmission pan. A new gasket and it's nice and dry now.
