🎉 Congratulations to Laura Kalab, the 2026 recipient of CPCI’s Sonia Saari Scholarship! 🎓

A graduate student at Western University, Laura is advancing innovation in the precast concrete industry through her research on a novel shape memory alloy (SMA) connection for precast concrete walls. Her work aims to improve seismic performance by reducing residual deformations after earthquakes.

Laura’s passion for precast concrete is second to none, and we are excited to see how her research will help shape the future of our industry.
